Yes, thankfully i didn't loose it for long, but i'm on a crappy isp now.
I'm thinking about doing Arrogance In Uniform and maybe Why It Hurts or Read My Scars, but there are a few parts i need to work on, i am pretty rusty at guitar. I will only be able to do the guitar parts, so if anyone can do the bass and drums, that would really be great.
My guitar is also in a sad state of repair, one of the kids knocked it over and snapped off my volume knob, i bought a replacement a couple of days ago but i still need to install it.
So what songs are you guys planning on covering?

Those songs are great in my case, what I did was I first made a guitar-pro file, and saved it as MIDI then I import the midi file to recorder and set the drum muchine and virtual bassist. I don't have a bass guitar but I could get an "electronic" kind of sound with virtual bassist with adding some effects on it, so the song sounds like a 80 ish electronic rock with a modern drum sound and fat guitar sound. so after you choose your song it would be the best if you could make a guitar-pro file before starting to record, and I can help you with the bass; if you like "electronic/distorted" kind of sound for bass. on the other hand I have seen two bass players in this forum so far : Satanstoenail & Nefesh, so u may go ahead and ask them. as for the songs, I vote for Read my scars. Cheers~ PS : So what songs are you guys planning on covering? It seems it's just us two for now

Thanks Darryl you might not be happy with the result, but I'm sure it's better than my takes, also better than nothing. at least we're gonna give it a try.
Yeah, 'better than nothing' indeed! I only just exchanged the mic yesterday and downloaded like 18 clips from the file folder I was working on and am going through those, so I'll have it ready probably by tomorrow. Nice to hear Krankster's thinking of giving it a go too

Hey guys! Just wanted to let u know that the band I used to play with (back home) is gonna participate in this Coroner tribute. (of course if it makes a serious process) so ...on the other hand there's couple o bands that did Coroner covers (like Sceptic), hopefully we can convince them to take part too let's see what's gonna happen... and by the way I think we have to hurry and make this possible in early 2011. In my opinion artworks is no subject, cause that's gonna be done in a few days, BUT it's more important to gather musicians and bands to do their part. also I think we have to focus on doing a single CD (coz I've heard that double CD has way more expenses) I personally am very optimistic for this project. and I hope the "topic creator" and others will join at a proper time to help us make this REALLY happen.

OKAY, so the song is done without the vocals like a month ago (still looking for a vocalist to lend some help). while I'm waiting for a vocalist I was thinking of doing some videos to put on youtube regarding Tommy's guitar work to show a brief analogy like kind of a time/experience graph particulary after Coroner. so that will going to cover his solos with Kreator and Clockwork. soon I'll post the links here.

God DAMN I've missed out here
Sorry I've been away for so long, I've been so swamed with wok that this has been rather low on my agenda. However, I'll get getting a cover done sometime in the summer - I'm just undecided on which ones they will be.

Alright....after more than a year of searching, I found no one to do the vocals. Also I have to thank you Darryll for the effort, I wish your takes had a better quality, so I could use them. So, I ended up uploading the demo on Youtube. The sound of guitars and drums is not the best, as I lost interest to re-record it with better sounds, due to lack of vocals. Anyhow, the song I covered is Golden Cashmere Sleeper, Part 1. Please let me know what you think. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTiJ5SLSMRo

If I can snag a laptop I will definitely try again and let you know if I'm able to record them, but if it's the same crap I'll just have to give up too (I doubt it though).
