P.S. Sirius13's lyrics are correct.

Is the legal stuff taken care of (i. e. doing the covers deal)? well the first day I joined the message board I read all the replies in this thread, so I think that's still the most important part that has never been solved. anyway because we can't wait a lifetime for someone doing this part,I think the best thig is doing it as "personal tribute" , not to publish it, but put it on somewhere like on youtube or something. Well here in the States you can just look up either an attorney referral service or a state bar for help; here in Houston our attorney referral hooks you up with an attorney, you pay only $20 for an initial 30 minute meeting and then after that it's their regular fees. That's not a bad investment at all, and sometimes can even solve big problems that could run thousands of dollars, just like how doing the above got the entire roof replaced on my parents' house, since it was leaking and the roofers weren't doing anything about it (even though it was under warranty). Just informing them I'd be seeing the attorney got their asses moving and they replaced the whole thing. A state bar has the same deal except that usually the first visit is free. I'm sure this varies by state though. I don't know about Canada though in regards to how many attornies you have around and services and all, but I'd definitely check into a local copyright attorney and see what the deal is. One visit is all you need just for basic information, it shouldn't take more than one or two more follow-ups to secure everything, but of course that won't be until the cd's about ready anyhow. So I'd definitely at least check into THE initial meeting to see how that pans out, at least. Might be something i would be interested in, however i have not picked up my guitar in a year and a half or so, plus i have no recording equipment at the moment. Oh no, what happened? Well, I've got my recordings downloaded onto the computer here, won't be long until I can send them

At last we're gonna figure it out depending on how many people want to participate in this including Parcaleste the "Artwork designer", like u've said when the CD is almost ready. Well, I've got my recordings downloaded onto the computer here, won't be long until I can send them Good news P.S. Sirius13's lyrics are correct. Thanks for confirming that. And please keep us updated if something happens and u could do a song or so. by the way I bought that guitar effect today, but the bad news is it's not brand new and has some problems, so I have to wait for another few days(probably after new year) for the replacement.

well I have no idea how hard or easy is this possible in Canada, coz I've moved to Canada a year ago. Someone had posted on here in regards to having to do this and this for covering one of their songs, and it results in this and that, but I don't know where the post is. Could be a good starting point. Anyway I had scrapped the demo vocals, as they were a bit too 'whispery' to be Ron-like. As I said, one of the problems is doing them when no one else is at home I'd just like to try again when I can give more 'all' to it. And even though you said there's no rush I'm just giving you an update for now.

okay, since I'm waiting for the music store to call me for the guitar effect I didn't stay inactive, also after a busy week with Christmas and new year stuff I could login and give u an update. I have recorded an "intro" for the song, and changed the instruments arrangement a bit; added some synthesizers instead of some guitar sounds, still working on it. so.. I will keep u updated every couple o days. what about u Darryl ? any chance to upload the vocals yet? by the way if u can do that please be informed that what I need is: Wave sound format, 44.1KHz , 16 bit , and if possible dont mix or edit it (no reverb, effects, etc). It would be the best if u could send me a file that every sentence is completely separate from eachother. Happy holidays and happy new year everyone.

I'm busy with school nowadays guys. End of semester is near but I haven' forgot about this one. Have had some new efforts but didn't like the outcome so I leaved it "to rest" a bit. Hope in the upcoming month or two to move forward.

I have recorded an "intro" for the song, and changed the instruments arrangement a bit; added some synthesizers instead of some guitar sounds, still working on it. Hey that's cool, there are some that say you really shouldn't do covers of songs unless you have something different to bring from the original. I don't really see the point of doing a tribute since a lot of Coroner's stuff was so damn good, if not great as it was. But on the other hand, if just SOMETHING were done with Coroner, since they were great, yet fairly obscure... what about u Darryl ? any chance to upload the vocals yet? Like I said, I deleted them. BUT...I'll be able to get a microphone though ;D Won't be for a week or two, maybe more, as I'm sick right now and limiting my time outdoors. But I'm looking forward to that by the way if u can do that please be informed that what I need is: Wave sound format, 44.1KHz , 16 bit , Hmmm, I don't know what the specs will be, but we'll just have to wait and see how it goes I guess... and if possible dont mix or edit it (no reverb, effects, etc). No, I won't be doing any of that, just the tiniest of editing to get rid of unnecessary pauses, maybe fumbling with the microphone and the usual 'wait, is this thing plugged in/on?' deal ;D I'll keep ya posted!

Might be something i would be interested in, however i have not picked up my guitar in a year and a half or so, plus i have no recording equipment at the moment. Hey all u need is a sound card, a guitar, and an internet connection (preferably a fast one). If u think u have enough time for this, I can send you some links to softwares that can simulate guitar amps and effects, also softwares for recording, mixing, even a drum machine! well, when I moved to Canada I had to sell all my amps and effects because they were all 220volts and here is 120v , so this "all software" thing i'm talking about was the best solution for me. I bought these softwares, BUT if u just want to try them to see if u like it, u can download the "pirate version AKA torrent" then pay over them if u will. anyhow let me know, coz I personally like to see you doing a song at least.

Hey that's cool, there are some that say you really shouldn't do covers of songs unless you have something different to bring from the original. Well to be honest when I recorded this one, it was like a carbon copy, exactly same song with a different guitar sound, so that's why I decided to make some changes. ...as I'm sick right now and limiting my time outdoors. But I'm looking forward to that I hope u feel better now dude, plus there's no rush since we're still waiting for others to come back to the forum and give us updates, suggestions, etc. Hmmm, I don't know what the specs will be, but we'll just have to wait and see how it goes I guess... to make it less confusing I'd better say: no mp3 or wma, just wav is enough, i'll fix the specs for the wave format. And by the way if you use a software like Soundforge or something like that, they support all the popular sound formats for the "Save as.." section. So don't worry No, I won't be doing any of that, just the tiniest of editing to get rid of unnecessary pauses, maybe fumbling with the microphone and the usual 'wait, is this thing plugged in/on?' deal ;D I'll keep ya posted!

okay dude, I've been searching on the net for the download links. so I found out that unfortunately most of the "Torrent sites" have been recently shutting down , because of the illegal downloads. on the other hand there's always problems with "Cracked softwares"; they either have errors in installation process or contain viruses. but here is the list of softwares with links that you basically need for recording and all that. 1. DAW (Digital audio workstation) or main software for recording and mixing (my 3 suggestions): - Cakewalk Sonar Producer edition ( www.cakewalk.com) - Steinberg Cubase ( www.steinberg.net) - Steinberg Nuendo ( www.steinberg.net) 2. Guitar & Amp simulation (2 suggestions): - AmpliTube 2 and AmpliTube Metal (you'll need to install AmpliTube X-Gear too) ( www.ikmultimedia.com) - Revalver MKIII (another guitar modeling software) ( www.peavey.com/products/revalver) 3. Drum Machine (3 suggestions): - EZ Drummer (also you need to install it's expansion which is a drumset for metal called Drumkit From Hell) ( www.toontrack.com) - Superior Drummer 2.0 (new and improved version of EZDrummer, also you'll need to install it's expansion that is a metal drumset called The Metal Foundry) ( www.toontrack.com) - XLN Addictive Drums ( www.xlnaudio.com) anyhow if I find any torrent website that still runs, I'll let u know as soon as possible.

Any tips on using them will be greatly appreciated.

ok, take a look at tutorial videos at this website : www.vtc.com/products/Cakewalk-Sonar-6-Producer-Edition-Tutorials.htmit will basically show you how to work with Sonar 6. I've worked with Sonar 3,4,5,6,7 and they are pretty much the same, so if u have Sonar 8 or 8.5 it should be almost the same as 6. for the Revalver and XLN, you have to insert them into Sonar from the menu : Insert > soft synth but again I recommend you to watch the videos in that link or on youtube to have a general idea of how to start, then i'll help you with more details. one more thing that is a good point to start with, because I know you're a guitarpro user; you can export your guitar pro song as MIDI,then open your Sonar (don't make a new project), and drag and drop your midi file into Sonar, then try to insert your Drum machine using "Insert/SoftSynth", set your Drum track's output to XLN (for sure every track in Sonar does have 1 input and 1 output), then you should have your drums sound. next stage: from the menu : Insert/Audio track , it will make an audio track , have your guitar connected into sound card (make sure LINE IN is not mute from sound card), activate (click R) on your audio track, then when you hit the Record button (next to play and stop of course) it should record your guitar sound. Again you can select your Audio track (just 1 click on it's name to select it) then goto menu : insert/ soft synth and select Revalver, then set your audio track's output to Revalver, you should have your guitar sound with coming out of Revalver. tip : there should be some sound card settings in Revalver options so be sure to set it. by the way I just used Revalver and XLN couple of times, because i personally prefer EZDrummer and Amplitube, so I don't remember the exact settings for them, but I can install them to solve any problems u may ask in the future. Another thing is you can ask some of your Revalver and XLN questions from the guy named DevilBear who has a video on youtube covering Coroner's Serpent Moves, his youtube and personal website are : www.youtube.com/watch?v=z40302zu6AE and www.metalguitar.ch/matos_en.htmlhope this helps a bit for start.
