Dream band line-up:
Vocals: Chuck Billy (TestAmenT) Backing Vocals: Rob Halford (Judas Priest) Guitars: Juan Garcia (Agent Steel) & Kristian Niemann(Therion) Bass: Terry Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath) Drums: Joel Lindell (The Provenance)
Flutes, Keys & Female Vox: Emma Hellstrom (The Provenance)
They'd do a whole gig covering (and re-interpreting) songs by Black Sabbath and Laibach.

My fave vocalist is Paul Kuhr from Novembers Doom. I´m addicted to this voice.

well OF COURSE here's my list!
Darren Travis - vocals/guitars of SADUS (the angriest, louder voice in metal)
Chuck Billy - vocals of TESTAMENT (the most versatile voice!)
Chuck Schuldiner - vocals/guitars of DEATH (the craziest, perfect voice!)
Ron Royce - vocals/bass of CORONER (just tearing it all up!!)

Chuck Billy - vocals of TESTAMENT (the most versatile voice!) Nah, I doubt he could do the great singing, yet brutal growls like the guy from Fear Factory can, and Sabbat's (U. K.) last vocalist could also do the brutal growls, but then sing as high as King Diamond!

man, you should hear Chuck tearing it up on LIVE AT THE FILLMORE! that's an impressive live set which contains also a 3 songs acoustic set where Chuck enchants the listeners!
That's my IMHO btw...it's just cool to know that CORONER fans can estabilish a contact! ;D

How's his health doing, by the way? Has he pretty much gotten back to his "old self" now? (Yeah, I know his heart surgery was a year or two ago, but I hadn't heard anything since.)

Too many to list:
Jeff Becerra (Possessed), King Diamond (Mercyful Fate), Cronos (Venom), Lee Dorrian (Napalm Death), Ronnie James Dio, Chris Boltendahl (early Grave Digger), Tom Araya (early Slayer), Ian Gillan (Black Sabbath - that's right - not Deep Purple, but Black Sabbath).
Why? Most of it 'cause I just like them. Obviously Lee Dorrian gets credit for the most monstrous vocals.
I hate everything by Pantera. And Phil Anslemo is a Kyle Thomas (Exhorder) ripoff.

Favorite lineups:
Black Sabbath (mk 1, mk2, mk3), Venom (mk 1), Mercyful Fate (mk1), Celtic Frost (1987 era), Coroner, Possessed, Razor (mk 1).
If you guys mix lineups, believe it or not, it's going to sound like shit most of the time. You can't mix Tommy with Ozzy or Cronos.

Vesa Lampi, of Spiritus Mortis. He has a massive voice with lots of personality. Spiritus Mortis are kind of doom-ish, but with plenty of groove. I've always really rated them, but they've just released an amazing new album which is even better than their debut. This band formed in 1987 but didn't release their debut until 2003 - but it was very much worth the wait.
