so hey everybody... I finally get my hands on a GRIN CD bought off ebay from a guy who has 100% positive feedback. CD finally arrives with a huge EFFING delay and turns out it was kept on hold by local customs, for me to pay 30 euros of taxes... plus the original 20 euros I paid for the cd. Holy smoke. Then I get the cd... open it up... and... this is it: ...now the guy has another copy for sale right there... wtf? please, If any of you who owns the original cd could share your impressions... now that would be cool.

Looks like it, aside from the lyrics, as we didn't get those here in the States...other than that, it looks like mine, the rest of it looks the same.

Yeah Max, I'm with Witchfynde- with the exception of the lyrics, that's exactly how my copy looks, and mine came new and shrinkwrapped.

My Australian copy (Shock Records) has full credits as well as very brief lyric excerpts from four songs on the margins. The track durations on the rear jewel case sleeve are incorrect, same as yours. My CD is a white on black print, opposite to yours.
I think it's unusual for you to have a copy with the full lyrics. Marky stated in interview back then that the booklet was incomplete and not what the band wanted to be published. Maybe yours is a boot?!? or a reissue that we don't know about? We should check the lyrics for inaccuracies.

Mine's a UK copy - so it's from Noise only, as opposed to Noise/Futurist.
The print on your CD looks like it's missing some small details on the guns.
As mentioned by the others - the lyric sheet isn't in mine. My booklet contains a double-page fish X-ray, a double-page teeth X-ray and a double-page catalogue of Noise products of the day. All with a few random quotes from the lyrics.
Has anyone else got a copy of the album that includes a lyric sheet? They seem to have one or two errors in them ...are the lyrics that are included elsewhere on this site taken from that lyric sheet?
btw My vinyl version doesn't have a lyric sheet either.

It's a possibility it could very well be a remaster or a boot, because I'm looking at the original (have it on my lap), and I noticed a slight difference on the back. On yours, the copyright '1993 Dark Wings' and '1993 Noise' are a bit further away in position to the last song.
On mine, those two things are right up against the bottom of the last song. Now, everything else but the lyric book and THAT look exactly the same, down to the address at the bottom, even the disc looks like it was professionally done.
One more thing I DID notice though, was that your copy doesn't have 'ADD' and the 'Compact DISC Digital Audio' thing next to it underneath the copyrights on the back.

and you know what is weirder? the cd tray doesn't have the CD logo on the plastic... as you can see in teh first picture. fuck, I think it's a rip off. a professional ripoff, nonetheless a fucking pricey one too... 50 effin' euros.

Well,it does look like the real thing, but as what was said previously,I'd never seen it with the full lyrics....nice though!! A couple of details can cast the doubt on whether it's an original but it looks pretty good to me.... If it plays alright, then all good!! Why pay that price on Ebay, though?I think you still can get hold of the album in France at least....

Yeah, that does suck. You'd think that if someone were going to make a copy, they'd at least get an original and try to make it look exactly like it. Adding that stuff is a surefire way to get found out.
Edit: And I just found another difference. The barcode in the corner is much bigger on that one than the one that I've got. The one that I have has the '0' on the left side and the '1' on the right side, but they are extended out beyond the coding. On yours, the numbers are right underneath the first and last few bars of the coding.
Shit, I keep finding stuff!!
The word 'Futurist' on the back is fatter than mine, and the picture of the band is much bigger, and closer to the edge. On mine, there's a lot more space. Not to mention, the writing at the bottom right hand corner ('The Futurist Label, 6 Green St New York NY, 10013) is closer to the edge on yours than on mine.
The copy is good, but not that good.

My original does not have any lyrics - just 2 page booklet!
