Keeping my fingers crossed!!! If this happens, I'm willing to travel to the states just to witness this historic event.
Coroner never got the exposure they deserved. Now they have the chance. Lets hope they are smart enough to grab on to this golden opportunity.

I have been a fan of Coroner since the first time I heard Masked Jackal. R.I.P. got me through some tough times... as did No More Color. I run a metal show and am actually playing Jackal this Saturday night. I would be ecstatic if they were to reform for a show/ tour. <fingers crossed>

This would be excellent. Particularly if they tour. I was fortunate to see them once back in 89 and would love to see them again. Truly one of the most underappreciated bands of Metal's golden age.

If this happens, I'll be very happy. I was too young to go out and see them the first time around, even though I had all the albums.
I saw the cross post on the Celtic Frost message board and I started freaking out, the news was so great.
These guys are easily one of the most technically proficient and talented metal group of all time. From the art, to the lyrics, the music, the mysterious images, and the themes.
This can easily be something big. Very big.

Coroner never got the exposure they deserved. Maybe things are different in the metal world nowadays, but I don't think it's very common for a metal label to release multiple videos of a death metal band ("Jackal", "I Want You", "Tv Bizarre"), get their albums reviewed in major magazines (the PFD Kerrang! review on this site [no matter what people think of the mag nowadays], multiple reviews and interviews in Metal Maniacs, the Mental Vortex review in RIP, etc., etc.) and put them on tour a lot. Granted, I'm not naive enough to take Noise Records' position on this, due to tons of their bands flocking to other labels (Running Wild [although they stayed with Noise for many, many years though], Rage, Skyclad, Kreator, etc., etc.), and due to Coroner's loathing of the label (to say the least!), but I think they got decent exposure. Could they have gotten MORE, though? Possibly. Could they have been treated better by another label? Also possibly. It's just that there have been lots of bands over the years that had plenty of talent but never hit it big, not just Coroner. (No offense to anybody.)

This is a great idea and truly one of the only reunion I would care for. Coroner meant a lot to me. Being located in Canada, I would drive to go there and witness them live.

Hella props to Coroner for even considering doing the gig. I hope it leads them to reform. The fans are still alive and kickin, the band could be too. But I have no idea whats really going on behind the scenes. But I would enjoy a reunion no doubt.

Wow, I missed this posting on Blabbermouth yesterday. Nice to see! Chicago's about an 6-7 hour drive for me, so I will DEFINITELY be there if it happens. You already know what shirt I'll wear there ;D

If you want to know why Noise Records was poison, read the Celtic Frost book, "Are You Morbid?" by Thomas Gabriel Fischer (Warrior). Coroner has a long standing history with CF and are mentioned extensively in it.
Noise Records and and the guy that ran it, Karl U Walterbach were cheats and they sacrificed so much talent through their cheating. Read the book and you'll see how bad it was for CF. It was a constant war until CF fought and won the lawsuits and then just walked away from it all.
Coroner's welcome back would be unanimously warm. They were one of the most talented people ever to play metal.
I remember as a kid seeing the Coroner tees everywhere and still do from time to time. They were a group that got better and better and then simply vanished in a style as mysterious as the image they established.

Didn't know Tom wrote a book. I'll have to check it out sometime. I don't know if you've seen it, but I looked at the reviews for it on Amazon.com and Tom himself actually posted some comments on there. Someone commented on a few of the stories in there and he clarified them himself. Nice to see he's actually reading what people say about it!

Heres hoping that this comes to pass. I have been a coroner fan since high school, never got a chance to see them though.
I have turned many a people onto them, and would love to see them live at least once.
