hmm hard to say which is the greatest Metal country on earth. Iam from germany and I can say yeah there's for sure a spirit for the music and esp. when you go to underground Clubs it has the greatest athmosphere. It's a very familiar feeling you have there I can't really explain it like the Club in Landshut where I saw Voivod last year. But it has it's downsides aswell and there are many here:
1) angry and aggressive Securities
2) Control almost everywhere
3) Rising prices for tickets, drinks etc.
4) bullshit behaviour and violence is on the rise aswell
That being said i think I can sum up that Metal Concerts/Festivals have it's Ups and Downs but it's generally one of the best organized Countries that's for sure but I wouldn't agree that there is more "Spirit" than in other countries. It's very strict here that's all.
Other like that I would mention Holland, France, Switzerland (though the prices are hilarious) and not to forget Belgium.
