I contacted GRIP INC.'s management to find out more about the upcoming album... I was hoping for a more information-like answer than "next year", but that was it. Maybe that's because their management suck big-time (I've been in contact with them before so I know). It's a pity that GRIP INC. don't have an official homepage so that we, the fans, could spread more relevant information elsewhere - like on this message board. /Kalle

Wait-wait-wait Kalle... You mean that Grip Inc. are actually still together and working on a new album?! This is the best news I've heard, musically speaking, in a long time! ;D I had heard depressing rumors about Dave Lombardo having left the band (Grip Inc. without Lombardo -- I don't think so!!) which I had been quick to believe, especially after he played in Testament's "The Gathering" album in 1999. Anyway, and even though it is vague, I prefer to hear "next year" than "never." I hope their next album is as much of a masterpiece as their other three. BTW, looks like Coroner and Grip Inc. have something in common regarding "management"... I hope Grip Inc. doesn't suffer the same fate!

Carole, I'm logged in now Glad someone is happy about the news "next year" ;D - I was hoping for something more detailed though. Well well ... here you have the evidence: www.monmouth.com/~worldent/#gripincThey have even stated "beginning of 2001" when it should be 2002... ;D

When I saw 2001 tour dates listed at that URL, I almost chocked thinking I might have missed a Grip Inc. show in my area -- fortunately for my sanity, Ohio was not listed ;D Oh, how I would love to see them live!
I see they also say "early next year" for the new album! Some great metal coming our way soon, at last!

Dave is said to be back in Slayer (Paul Bostaph had to leave due to health problems)....but only for "God Hates Us All" tour... he is also with Mike Patton in Phantomas So seems like he ain't have any time to do Grip Inc. Sad but true... Sincerely, Felix
