In June 2018 Coroner will reissue their first five albums on CD and vinyl!!! This comes in anticipation of a brand new album later this year, alhough a release date and title is yet to be mentioned. How long have we been waiting?!?!?!?!
IMO remastering is sorely needed for all these albums. I can't wait ti hear them as they (hopefully) should sound. Who's buying guys??

Well I really find the Punishment for Decadence Cd very nice because that album has really a bad original sound they should have chosen another producer so probably iam buying this also because of the fact that Coroner finally got the original Cover artwork they wanted to have for this album.
No More Color and R.I.P. I have all original first pressings and I couldn't think of buying them again.
Speaking of No More Color I think that Steve Rispin did a very good job on it.

^Yep, that just needed more bass to it, in my opinion. Had the best sound out of the first three cds at the time.

All their albums need more bass IMO, possibly excepting Grin. Anyway I have preordered vinyl copies of Mental Vortex and Grin. MV drum sound is crap, the whole album is mid-centric but the hihats are a notable absence, they are really low in the mix. Grin is mastered too hot, the lead guitar frequently sounds like it is clipping and the cymbal sound is very sibilant, sounds compressed like an MP3. Hoping for the best but not holding my breath ;-)

Howdy guys, long time no posting! I've got some questions about these re-releases. Are they released by Noise? How's the quality? Anyone know if the band are getting paid for them?

I was glad to see your name on here Welcome back! Thanks! I can't believe it's been 5 years! Stupid rolling juggernaut of time. Aren't they Sanctuary Records now or something? They could still hold the rights to them, so I assume so. I heard someone bought Noise and all associated rights but I hadn't heard who. THEY'D better get paid for them! I hope so. It is Noise though so who knows. |
