As probably most people on here knows, Twisted Sister suddenly became huge in the mid 1980s with the crazy physical humor in their "We're Not Gonna Take It" video hitting it big on MTV, with the actor reprising his Nedermeyer role from Animal House, although being a father this time around (shudder!). Quite the strange case, as T. Sister had been toiling around the club circuit for 10 years to suddenly get their 15 minutes of fame, then they went back to obscurity almost as quickly, as years later they were back to the club tours with only one original member of the band left. Years later though, they reformed with the "classic" lineup of their Stay Hungry opus to do a heavy metal Christmas album (!) and one final tour to coincide with the 30 year anniversary of the band (hard to believe it had been that long) before calling it a day for the most part.
Now, "We're Not Gonna Take It" has come full circle, becoming a ballad with just Dee Snider's powerful singing and a piano, which would be great enough as it is, but it also is a very poignant video, showcasing magician's Criss Angel's son being treated for cancer, along with another young cancer patient in the midst of shaving her head as well, calling attention to Angel's pediatric cancer charity.
