Grip Inc. are no more. Lombardo told me after a Fantônmas show that there was a "fight" between Gus Chambers and Waldemar Sorychta a couple of years ago. A pity indeed.

This really sucks!!! Why can't I just be into crappy radio music?... I was so excited about the upcoming Grip Inc. album! It seems like all good things have to end.

Kalle, who is that "Voodoocult" guy who told you about Grip Inc.? Any talk about Lombardo and other projects? (aside from Slayer.)

Now I need some other great metal band to get into... Kalle, you find me one!

Yeah, it sure sucks bigtime...

I really don't know this guy who calls himself voodoocult. He was just "nice" to fill me in on these sad news. Isn't it weird though: I have heard NADA of Grip's split, although I read almost all metal news there is on the web...?!

Here is what Mr Lombardo is up to at the moment (source www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/):

Lombardo also spoke about the prospect of recording another album with FANTÔMAS, the band fronted by former FAITH NO

MORE singer Mike Patton.

"It's insane, like our first record [1999's Fantômas]," Lombardo said. "But the song's a bit longer. It's music put

in a way that you feel it's unnatural, but when you listen to it time and time again, it's very natural. It's a real

honor to do it."

Also in the works is a collection of solo percussion compositions, which will be released via Patton's Ipecac

Recordings next year.

"For years I've been coming up with these little two-minute drum songs, and they all have their distinct little vibe

to them, and they all revolve around drums and drum rhythms," he said. "It has one or two crazy drum solos, but the

rest is hand percussion and synthesized drums, a whole variety. Anything that has to do with rhythms or drums or

anything that sounds percussive will be on there."

In addition to the aforementioned projects, Lombardo has just finished recording the drums on five tracks for the

forthcoming APOCALYPTICA record, tentatively due for release in late January.

And yeah...I'll find another band 4 u!

Mmmh... I guess we'll just have to wait and see then. Who knows, the guy might just be spreading rumors (hopefully!)

I guess not, as he'd been talking with Mr Lombardo after that Fantomas show.

Also, I recall that BLABBERMOUTH recently referred to Stuart Carruthers being an "ex-GRIP INC." member as he was involved with another project.
