The beauty of the cruise is that each band plays 2 sets. Almost all of the bands played altered setlists as well. Some (like Testament & Saxon) did entire albums during their set.
Would love for them to do all of No More Color. \m/

I think "Mistress of Deception" is too hard to play live, but I could be wrong.

For anyone "on the fence" about this event, book it immediately. I went last year and it was the greatest week of my life. All the bands were hanging out at the bars, eating meals with people, doing karaoke, etc. Everyone is on the same boat so there is nowhere to hide.
Everyone was thankfully very respectful to the bands, who all loved the event (heck, they were on vacation anyways).
So having My Dying Bride and Coroner already booked makes this a no brainer. And it gives me 2 more chances to see them live (each band plays 2X during the trip)

I heard about this in March 2010 when Obituary was announced and was perplexed and totally excited for "death metal on a cruise ship" and I can watch them from a "chaise lounge"? Now I've told the wife that barring something odd, I'm going on this every year. ;D |

Just saw an interview on Brutal Broadcast while the guys were over in Tampa (visiting friends post MDF) and they heard about the cruise last year but didn't know what to think. Now after all the positive feedback they joined on. But one of their conditions (according to Marky) was they don't play during the "day". So I guess they'll be indoors OR at night outside on the pool deck  |
