Don't know if anyone else was into King Kobra--yeah, they were glammy, but their Ready To Strike debut is still fairly heavy even by today's standards, 25 years after release--but I saw them in concert here in town back in 1986. They were advertising the show on the radio, and luckily the day of the show I was able to record most of the ad. I still have it on an old tape (yeah, I'll eventually get all that stuff transferred to digital, although the recording I made of it the other day isn't bad), and it only just now occurred to me that I should put it up on YouTube. Now, rewinding to like 10 years ago or something when I was going through old tapes and recording stuff onto others and ditching tunes I didn't want and all, I listened to the ad again, and was surprised to hear them announce the Blitz International Tour featuring "Celtic Frost, Running Wild and Voivod", which I was going "holy crap!", since I got into C. Frost and Voivod a few years after the KK show So that was cool to hear; bet that was a good show! I've only heard a couple of R. Wild songs, but they were good, from what I hear, those jolly metal pirate kinda guys (arrrrrr!). Anyway, the commercial/vid can be seen here, it's less than a minute long. The quality isn't the best but you can still hear everything, at least. No, no mention of Coroner or anything, their debut didn't come out until a year later (plus they didn't tour on RIP anyway, I don't think, or at least I know a tour with MOD got cancelled, at least).

Hah, that's one way to put it! ;D
Yeah, I remember playing that to a friend of mine back then, and he was cracking up over the echoing "Cardi's...Cardi's...Cardi's". Especially since that club sucked, I can't believe they came back years later. Still bad reviews on them too. They're gone again and hopefully they won't ever come back.
