Seeing that I never actually introduced myself before... ...and I'm back after a very long hiatus...work work work. I thought I might as well introduce myself. Name: GlassMoon6 Real name: Anchoret Other internet alias': babyflitestreak Place of Origin/Currently living in: Born in Baytown, TX and grew up in Katy, TX where I still reside. Sex: Female Occupation/work interests: I was an Administrative Assistant and company-wide computer geek for nearly 4 years at a local A/C company until the local housing market crashed. Currently I do part-time freelance CAD Design. ...and looking for full-time employment. Being on unemployment is such a drag... Interests: Music of all kinds except for rap and country, computers (I'm a geek at heart), building/flying/designing model aircraft, my 1962 Plymouth Valiant sedan (and classic cars in general), art (I'm a born artist...love drawing and sketching), Volvo 240 sedans (used to own one...loved that car), and yes...I know my way around an auto mechanic's toolbox Dislikes: People with no common sense and no sense of humor. Snakes, spiders, thieves, dishonesty, Coroner (..just kidding! making sure you're paying attention! ), slow pain-in-the-arse computers, power failures right in the middle of something important, portable generators...you spend 8 hours a day listening to 3 of them grinding away right outside your office Favorite movie of all time: I don't know...I like way too many movies! ...but if I MUST pick...It's a tie between Tora! Tora! Tora!, Lawrence of Arabia, Gone With the Wind, and Breakfast at Tiffany's Runners up: the "original" three Star Wars movies, Freaky Friday (2003), Liar Liar, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Day After Tomorrow, Battlestar Galactica, Charlie Chan mysteries Currently watches: no tv..nothing interesting All time favorite tv shows: Star Trek (all), Babylon 5, Stargate, Seinfeld, Full House, Rockford Files, Frasier, Cheers, Columbo What?! There's other places than this Coroner site? (Other internet places of personal interest) www.katymagazine.com/ - Frequently visited site for the latest around town. www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com - Goes along with my 1962 Plymouth Valiant This is an excellent example from Australia: members.optusnet.com.au/peter.morthen/blue62val/peter.html So what do I look like anyway? ..um...see my avatar! ;D ...except I'm not purple, my eyes are green and don't glow, my hair is a dark reddish brown. So what do I SOUND like then? a person! haha How about my guitar playing? I don't play guitar. True pieces of personal trivia: I raised a bottle-fed litter of kittens when I was 13 or 14 yrs old after their mother died from paralysis while giving birth to them. ...and I kept the runt of the litter who later died from feline leukemia. I taught myself everything I know about computers b/c a "professional" shop didn't do their job right causing my computer to short circuit when I powered it up at home and also because my mom said "You either figure out how to fix it or the computer goes in the trash"...in response to Microsoft requiring $19/min via credit card to fix an issue with Win 3.1 (if I EVER see that load of crap again...) ...um...I discovered Coroner by "accident" in a used CD shop in North Houston which is now out of business. I had never heard of them before and found their self-titled album and Grin. The dark heaviness + Ron's voice scared the crap out of me. ...so I just had to get one of them since I couldn't afford both. Hey...that's what happens when you're new to metal and have only been exposed to Dream Theater, Savatage, Steve Vai, and Yngwie Malmsteen thanks to the looney toon at work.

Nickname: Wookie (the 'D.D.' is in homage to DD Verni from Overkill, my favorite bassist and the reason I play today).
Real Name: K.R. Cook
B-day/Age: 8-27-74/ 36
Likes: Playing bass, metal, writing horror fiction, watching horror movies, German Shorthaired Pointers, tattoos, women, comic books, the town of Perham, Minnesota, used to really love to skateboard, but I'm too fat, now.
Dislikes: Fake, assholish people. Anyone who thinks Black Friday is a cause for celebration, who has never fucking worked in retail. Emo kids that think Job For A Cowboy, As I Lay Dying, Black Dahlia Murder, Atreyu and the like are metal. Mallcore, aka Hot Topic Shit. All these pictures on facebook/myspace where people are right up in the lens trying to look cute/serious. Jesus, do you really wanna know all this, cause I could go on for pages.
I play bass and scream lead in Chance In Hell, a semi melodic thrash band with snarly vocals. Picture Overkill, Slayer, DRI and Kreator with a smidge of Maiden melodies.
Influences (there are three categories) Bass: D.D. Verni, Steve DiGiorgio, JP Thesseling, Ron Royce (also Vocals) and David Vincent. Vocals: Mille Petrozza, Ron Royce, Jeff Walker, Martin Van Drunen, Denis 'Snake' Belanger. Misc.: George A. Romero, Philip Nutman, Bret Easton Ellis, Joe R. Lansdale, Lucio Fulci.
Fave Music: Metal in general, thrash/death and grind in particular; Top 5 are Overkill, Kreator, Voivod, Coroner, Sodom.
Fave Movies: Horror, Sci-Fi, Exploitation, Westerns, a smattering of musicals, older black and white stuff; Top 5 are Dawn of the Dead '78, The Thing '82, Frankenstein '31, The Hunchback Of Notre Dame '39 and Man of a Thousand Faces.
Aspirations: To have my zombie serial 'Phantom Nation' and other works published. Chance In Hell getting some real recognition so that my state isn't JUST known for fucking Slipknot. To someday open for the following show (just a dream, but maybe the right festival could be organized)My top 5 with 90 minute slots, and CIH with 45 minutes. To play a zombie that gets to eat in a Romero film.
There, I think that's enough. You who read my posts must be getting sick of my long ass long windedness. Thanks for reading!

Anyone who thinks Black Friday is a cause for celebration, who has never fucking worked in retail. ...plus that isn't the REAL reason for Christmas anyway. Jesus, do you really wanna know all this, cause I could go on for pages. Haha...maybe come up with a separate "bitch thread" ;D Good luck with the band! And your Romero zombie dream!

Damn!? how could i forget to introduce myself after all this years. Along with this being bumped for the first time in nearly seven years! (Not a real busy forum...) Interests/hobbies: Bass playing! How long you been playing? Perhaps we could do a nature thread. I've taken some good pictures of the years that I had up in Photobucket (urgh, need to return to deleting stuff from that account... ) Favorite Movies of all time: Godzilla, Which version, the one from several years ago? I just got back into that, due to finding the extended version, all dvds and inserts, of Return of the King at a resale shop several months ago (never got it when it first came out) for real cheap Asked for the books for Christmas and have been slowly reading the first one. Favorite Bands: Celtic Frost Destruction Kreator Watchtower Nice to see several from the old Noise roster Amen to that...got some import and the 3" mini-cd version of "One"... Is that the thrash metal band that did the ripping cover of "Eleanor Rigby"? You don't see that name mentioned too often! Saint Vitus (with Scott "Wino" Weinrich) THERE'S some bass right there with stuff like "Fear"! I really liked their "Black Planet" song and always meant to check out at least one, if not more of their cds. Need to start going to local music expos again...

Interests/hobbies: Bass playing! How long you been playing? I've been playing for 6 years now but I began to practice regularly since 2016 I believe. Iam interested in covering N.I.B. by Black Sabbath and also want to post a version of Sirens by Coroner when I finally have the tracks together it's not that it's too complacent for me there are just so many variations in the riff and harmony patterns that's the challenge so it could take time also because I only have time on weekends because during the week it's impossible cause of my full time job which is exhausting too. I keep it updated as soon as i have it I will make a video with my camera to post it maybe haha. Well yeah making a nature thread would be a great idea!! But it's sad that so many members don't post here anymore like Thomas, Thrashos, parcaleste, rehabitat, Ironfelix etc.. what happened?? it kind of feels like a lonely desert here. Is that the thrash metal band that did the ripping cover of "Eleanor Rigby"? You don't see that name mentioned too often! Suiciety is my favorite album from this unique band. Iam also a big fan of the lyrics and the artwork it pretty much reflects our society. It sounds like a mixture of Dimension Hatröss and Control and Resistance but has a very dark feeling to it absolute extremely underrated masterpiece. Many people never heard of this band i believe. quote timestamp="1523647479" source="/post/4685/thread" author=" maskedjackal700"]The Sisters of Mercy [/quote]I really liked their "Black Planet" song and always meant to check out at least one, if not more of their cds. Need to start going to local music expos again... Well I think "Lucretia my Reflection" is actually my favorite song and the Floodland album in general. But all stuff is good. Classic. Favorite Movies of all time: Godzilla, Which version, the one from several years ago? There was a version from 1999 too.

Yeah I know, I've got a Godzilla plush from that one I didn't have a problem with the movie, unlike a lot of other people did. As long as you didn't take it seriously it was still fun.
