Just imagine if they didn't realise how fuckin' amazing they were?!! Actually, I've always thought that they never realized that... I don't think they are aware they've made such an indelible mark in metal history. And I'm sure that, like Morbid said, they thought they'd be all but forgotten by now, 10 years after the split. In 1993, as I was still living in Switzerland, I attended several shows there -- that was the "Grin" tour... (man, you should have heard "Internal Conflict" live... I'll never forget it!) At one of the shows, during a break, Tommy and Ron were sittting next to the stage and I went there to ask for an autograph. They looked *SO* surprised, as if they didn't expect anyone to want their autograph! They were indeed brilliant, and yet so modest... It's sad that the lack of exposure made them think they were less than what they really were...

Also if they can't imagine to fully start the band again, it'd be awesome if they would consider that one US festival plus an european performance, probably in their home, would be a great and accurate plan!
They should always be aware of the fact, that we here are not looking for another cheap old-school reunion, as all those 80s thrashers did! We have acknowledged the immense originality and timelessness of Coroner's music! There's so much more than just banging your head to Masked Jackal... I personally would love to hear the Mental Vortex/Grin material cos these are the records that still can match up with any of nowadays metal in my opinion, it isn't something that belonged to a certain fashion, it isn't just thrash, it's truely unique metal!

I really hope that the positive response would make a difference in getting them to sit down and make a positive decision on this. It's not like they're chancing it by getting back together. The fans are asking them to come out of retirement. And I hope they understand that anyone into metal from that era remembers and can't forget. Here's an example: bnrmetal.com/groups/coro.htmI think a full-on reunion (and album) would be big. Tons of labels out there are now specializing in this type of music from SPV/Inside Out to Century Media, Napalm, and Nuclear Blast. I'm sure many contemporary bands would support Coroner coming back, since they were influenced heavily and even wear the shirts on stage from time to time. Yet it's surprising that they may have thought they were forgotten. I think it's important to understand the image we had of them. Again, the image was of three brilliant and mysterious musicians whose faces were not often seen, but spoke almost exclusively through their music.

They looked *SO* surprised, as if they didn't expect anyone to want their autograph! It's probably because that happened over there, rather than here in the States, where Marky had said "people here are much more crazy...", as they just seemed to kind of shrug when I got their autographs here.

They should always be aware of the fact, that we here are not looking for another cheap old-school reunion, as all those 80s thrashers did! Yeah, it's not like a band that's out on the Totally Pathetic Tour '05 when most of their fans have moved onto faster and heavier stuff, and not many people attend, like Twisted Sister fans (not that I'm calling them thrash or anything, it's just that most of us have moved on from there!)

I think it's great to see some of those bands back together! Death Angel in particular. And perhaps Agent Steel more than any other. ...but if Coroner were to re-unite, that would truly be special ;D

Carole, please let us know of Marky emails you again with any information. There's many of us waiting with great anticipation! Sure will! Haven't heard from Marky again, and haven't received any reply from Tommy yet. Might be a while until they've talked it through, and decide what to do and what to say... Maybe the fact they haven't responded with an immediate "No way!" means they're actually thinking about it

Death Angel is on hiatus for right now. Not sure what the story is, but thats the official word. Really? That's too bad. Just got their new album, but haven't listened to it yet. They didn't tour anywhere near me unfortunately, so if they're done that would really suck.

To me, it's great to just HEAR from them. even if they dont reunite right now , this whole blabbermouth thing still put them in the public's eye for a bit, which might eventually lead to something anyway. But, of course, keep hopin' for the best!

Yeh, I'll keep hoping! Even if they just arranged a little get together to discuss old times... Those things often lead to a positive outcome.
