I am exploring the possbility of organizing a technical death and thrash festival in the US. A reunited Coroner would be an unbelievable addition to the roster. I assume this is not a possibility, but I'd love to ask the band anyway. Anyone know if a reunion has been attempted in the past? Anyone have contact info for the band? Thanks.

Hello, Unfortunately I can't see that happening now,as if they had decided to get together again, they'd have done it a long time ago. But if you did manage to get Coroner on stage,I'd fly to the US without a second thought.I was lucky enough to see them live 4 times, and they certainly were fantastic!! Fingers crossed!!
Thomas.

Anyone have contact info for the band? I don't think even Carole does; if you look back to some of THE earliest posts on here, there were a few in regards to getting interviews with the band members, which Marky had popped up a couple of times over the years, but it'd be months in between e-mails.

Reunions of 80's metal is the flavour of the moment: Death Angel, Exodus, Testament (original line up including Alex Skolnick to play in Europe this May , Candlemass (back with Messiah - new album out in May), Agent Steel got back together ages ago etc etc.... Maybe the Coroner guys should take a look at the potential that's out there for them! Well, we can hope .....

Maybe the Coroner guys should take a look at the potential that's out there for them! And I'd be in the front row for the show if they played anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. I don't care if all they did was walk on stage, play "Host" and leave. I'd be happy. Well, OK, they could play "Masked Jackal" too ;D

Thats easy... Call Tommy Vetterli's recording studio in Zurich. I'd recommend you prepare an offer of 1) Pay 2) Travel Expenses 3) Accomodations.

Just curious... What did you ask? Do you have any other bands confirmed? When is this scheduled?

The e-mail text is below. We are just in the beginning stages of this, so no bands are confirmed. We are still looking into venues and financing. Mr. Vetterli - Neil Kernon (producer of Nevermore, Queensryche, Spiral Architect, Nile, etc.) and I are exploring the possibility of organizing a technical metal festival to take place in October 2005 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. We were wondering if you, Ron, and Marky would consider reuniting as Coroner to headline our concert. We are currently forming a group of investors and looking into venues and costs. Please let me know if a Coroner reunion show would be a possibility, given the right offer. Thank you very much from a huge fan of your work. John Frank Neil Kernon's web page www.auslander.net/

Hopefully he responds. I'd be there. I live in Chicago. In fact Neil K. was/is/maybe going to produce my last bands next CD. They're called Ditchwater.

Well, if it happens Chicago will be too far for me to travel! (I'm in the UK and I ain't got enough spare cash!). But good luck with it. Whether or not you get the Coroner re-union, I hope the festival is a success for ya. Got any other bands in mind for it?
