Coroner in Hard 'n Heavy videos

As I joined these forums back in August, I also sent Carole a bunch of stuff, which she was able to get several items up within a few days, but nothing since So this post is to share a few more items that have yet to go up, to try to get her out of her lurking status (she said she checks in on the forums on a daily basis) and to give her a hard time about it ;D (she said since then others have sent in even MORE stuff [probably from sirius13], so she's probably way behind now!).

I think Coroner was originally on the Hard 'n Heavy, volume 3 video, but the one I have is the Thrash Metal Special video that HNH also released, having the exact same footage and all on there. Strangely enough, Marky did all the talking here (since I went backstage and met Coroner myself in concert less than two years later, which only Ron hung out to talk with us). Ron's wearing a Voivod shirt in the segment, which I thought was cool.

During the interview, Marky tells about how people "here [he means in America] are much more crazy; it's like they really go for it. And in Europe--" He then gets interrupted by someone offscreen then, saying "yeah!" in a death-metal voice. This cracks the guys up, as Marky says "'Yeah!'", motioning towards the person.



Fans in Europe, though, is a different story:

"In Europe, sometimes they're like more cool--they stand there..." [He leans back and folds his arms, looking bored.]


Marky also tells about recording R. I. P. and shares a funny story about the "incredibly bizarre" bus driver that they got for the PFD tour ;D


I'd put up audio recordings of the dialogue, but I don't have a way to host them. Hopefully y'all will eventually get to hear them, though, even though they're not of the greatest quality, although you can hear everything, plus I did a transcription of it all.

Is this video available on DVD or VHS? Where can I find it?

I'm pretty sure the Hard 'n Heavy video line is long out of business; they had a lot of them (over a dozen different vcr tapes that I know of) in the late 1980s through early 90s, interviewing bands, showing clips, even showing some banned or unreleased stuff. Dunno if anyone bought out the (probably bankrupt) company and have re-released the stuff, although I'd be surprised if someone did.

If worse comes to worse, I could eventually see about taping it for you and sending you a copy of it. Right now I've got zilcho money on hand and coming in (unless I get a temp job next week, which would be nice ;D ) to even send anything by mail, but I've got a list of stuff like that for people that I will hopefully eventually be able to get stuff just like that out to them.

Wow, yeah, that's probably it...I can't say I'm exactly sure since I don't recall 100%. It's in my diaries somewhere, so I can dig around to see for sure if you wish. If you're going to bid on it, I'd definitely shoot the guy an e-mail and ask if Coroner is in the listing (it's too bad he doesn't have a bigger photo of it to click on; you'd probably be able to make out the name Coroner then), as I'd hate for you to have to bid and pay for a video that doesn't have them on it, unless there's several other bands in the vid that you have an interest in as well (the Coroner segment probably isn't even three minutes long as it is). Meanwhile, I can send you a few audio clips of the segment (they're pretty brief, it's not like they're a meg apiece or anything even, so even if you're on dial-up they wouldn't take long to download anyway), along with the transcription of the entire segment sometime tonight, probably

That's the same hard 'n heavy tape that i have, only reason i bought it was because coroner was on it.
