I met and hung out with Tommy T. along with his guitar tech for about 2 hours on there tour bus on the Mental Vortex tour very sad it was a RV and not even a regular tour bus...Tommy said he used jackson, Hamer, Godin, and a guitar made out of some ESP parts with Seymour Duncan distortion pickups in them....and Stevens preamp and alesis quadraveb effects unit. He said his amp was custom made so were all out of luck. this is for mental vortex....On No more color it was the same guitars and pickups but he used ADA MP-1 for the amp and still a Quad raverb for F/X... For Punishment for decadence he used a couple of Marshalls and an Ibanez tube screamer along with the ever trusty Quad raverb F/X......His sound in the early days relied heavly on his pickups and the quad reverb...he said to me he hated the guitar sound on punishment? ?that sucked because I loved it...funny thing is he could not believe I liked it...hahahah I have been able to recreate his guitar sounds pretty close and I tell ya know its a very simple combination.....Good guitar+ good technique+ seymour duncan distortion pickups+ Marhsall stack+ Alesis Quad raverb...and your picking must be VERY CLEAN..........Also you will need some other type of good distortion pedal or preamp the marshall distortion will not cut it as in the old days bands would daisey chain many marshalls together to increase the amount of distortion...but today we can creat that same effect with high gain pedals and pre amps.... Ron told me he used some Peavy and hartke amps and ZON bass guitar.... Markus always seemed to use sonar drums..

Also I forgot to mention a parametric EQ is also very important to boost some of the mids that is another key to the Coroner guitar sound...as for Rons sound a lot of it has to to with the fact that he does not use a pick when playing this has a big effect of the sound..

I thought It was the "Peavey" Bass sound... Ive got Peaveys, and with a graphite necked bass, the sound is VERY sharp edged. He was quite clean in his sound as well...Very little overdrive or distortion in the bass, on LP anyway?! Was this the same live?

Ron told me he used some Peavy and hartke amps and ZON bass guitar.... Markus always seemed to use sonar drums.. Actually, I saw them back in November, 1991, and he was using Pearl drums then...but then Sonor was THE most expensive drums back then that you could buy, so maybe that answers that
