Type O Negative also used it on the back of their 'After Dark' video from like '98 or '99, but it was a full version, with the skeleton standing so you can see its legs...

Right, here's the whole thing: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punishment_for_Decadence the original cover is the one on top.You find it on the first vinyl issue AND the Japanese version (double album: PFD+NMC,code VICP 50). The skeleton one is found on the later releases and the standard CD version. He who owns all copies/version is a happy fan....that'll be me then!! :-D

As most probably knows, the band re-issued Punishment in cd with its original cover. I got me one, just for the pleasure to have it. Always glad to support the band anyway by taking it directly from them.

Same tracks, and same mix, which surprised me first knowing it's clearly the one deserving the most a refreshing, which Tommy totally approve as he really dislikes the sound on it (of course, it's his job actually). So I asked him last year and he said he wanted to give the original stuff for the fans, but a remaster could possibly happens later.
So this version is really only for fans who wants to complete their collection (or simply support the band, which is a good reason enough) or people who hasn't the album yet.

Hi there Did some research. The engraving of the skeleton playing the violin is from Steinbrecher from a piece called death the strangler. If you google that you will get all kinds of high res image
