Ever tried listening to music while on drugs? Makes the whole experience even more fun....
I crave the hallucinations sometimes, but I prefer the rush... go the xtc... I've seen some flipped out shit from time to time, but nothing serious.... I was once watching that old flick Braindead and the big plasticene rat jumped out of the TV, ran around the room, then bolted up the hallway.... and once this old lady was yelling at everyone at a party and she suddenly turned into a big demon....
There's only one way you can sit in a room staring at the ceiling fan for three hours straight - DRUGS!

Crap??? Crap is the production values on "Punishment for Decadence"! May we please see a re-master someday, similar to the upgrade Megadeth's "Killing is..." got recently. ***Drugs? Drugs are for people who can afford them, and music is the best and cheapest kind available. But then weed is nice too.....

sorry but what connection does your topic has with Coroner? Sorry, but why in hell are all you people so bloody serious and stoic? Coming here from my board is like going from my local 8-ball comp to the State snooker comp.... all you fuckers sound like you're running around with bow ties and tweed coats on, sipping brandy from a crystal glass and smoking Tarry Rope in a clay pipe...

There's only one way you can sit in a room staring at the ceiling fan for three hours straight - DRUGS! Oh that sounds interesting... I usually like to make better use of my time though. Regarding your comment about people being too "serious" in here, I think it's just because a lot of Coroner fans are older than 12 years old. I also think that many Coroner fans are a little more intellectual and subtle than your average Joe. At least that's what I've noticed so far. I'll also quote a little piece of an interview I did with the Coroner members in 1998 (just for fun -- but related to your question): Question I asked: Most Coroner listeners can notice how "clean" Coroner lyrics are -- no foul language, no sex, no drugs, no other BS... Was that a mutual and conscious decision on your part? Ron: We packed such meanings hidden in our lyrics, not for anybody to see. You have to read between and behind the lines in Coroner's lyrics. Tommy: We always had a certain intellectual approach in our lyrics. We never liked bands with foul language in their lyrics. Marky: We simply developed the whole lyrics in a more subtle way. It is relatively easy to say "Fuck" in a song. To force the listener to read between the lines is yet a little more challenging for a writer. But it was no intention for us to write clean lyrics, it just happened that way.

it's funny you add that, I totally agree with that way of writing lyrics... Coroner's lyrics are excellent - Marky has done a wonderful job of hiding the true meaning of the songs. There are a few that have a meaning which stands out like dogs' nuts, but on the general note they're very well written - sometimes difficult to pick what he's talking about. I do vocals in a noise metal band and I've got a few songs that are hard to decipher. Very clean in some regards too... most of our stuff is "fuck this fuck that fuck you" but we do have clean songs that question morals and provide new insight... but people tend to dig "The Necrofucka" and "Toe Jam Crusts and Whore's Queef Soup" a lot more for the comical factor involved... But all the same, you guys can keep your tea & scones, and I'll be happy with my weed, speed and pills! By the way, I'm a helluva lot more mature than what you make out... what people don't know is that I've been a biker's kid my whole damn life and my entire family is a little on the wild side... there's not many members of my extended family that don't ride motorbikes or drink heaps of alcohol... my uncle is flat-out into everything... and my parents don't give a crap what I do to myself because they know I'm smart enough to have it under control... I trip out maybe 3 or 4 times a year... I'm no bum - I work a full time job, pay my rent and taxes, keep my phone bills under control, I have a registered and roadworthy car and motorcycle - and I happen to like drugs...
