The rule of thumb is to be suspecious about traders from the 3rd wolrd countries. If I'm ever to trade with people from Thailand, India, China, Philipines etc - they send first unless they have good references. Hell, I am even very suspecious about people from former Soviet Union (no offence to Felix or to myself for that matter).

Too bad you got ripped off. But I guess it's a good lesson for you.
