Welll the story is like this... yesterday i went to a CD store (one of the biggest here in Moscow), bought couple of CDs and asked the guy who works in the heavy section of the store whether they would have some early Coroner CDs - he said "yeah, remastered ones" I was like "W-H-A-T!!" he said "Why are you soo suprised?" and I said "because I have never heard the CDs were remastered and I wonder what are the bonuses?" he said that those are European released and bonuses are (as far as he remembered) the live tracks... So I want to ask the Carole realm dwellers whether ANYONE can comment upon this? have you ever heard or seen or may be have ANY remastered Coroner CDs? Carole, may be you know? Thanxx in advance Felix

You didn't buy any?!?!? I haven't heard about these re-mastered cds but it wouldn't suprise me. I have heard the record company has some old Coroner stuff that they were waiting to release to cash in on a band that they themselves never promoted correctly.

Remasters? That sounds fishy to me. Noise Records never seemed to think much of Coroner, and considering that, it seems odd, that now, suddenly, 7 years since their last album, that they would go through the trouble. Perhaps they've sold the rights to another company?

But as long as Noise now is subdivision of Sanctuary Rec. maybe the latter decided to get some money...who knows...

Just in case you're interested...
Looking through the German amazon page, I found that they list the first four albums as being released in January 2003. Probably, these are the so-calles "re-releases". Sadly, no bonus tracks. Still, that might also just mean that the distributor has changed with Noise now being part of Sanctuary. Also, I find it odd that the German page lists the '95 album as a Canadian import while the US page doesn't. Hopefully, the albums will get a proper re-release, liner notes, bonus tracks and all. Just as Noise did with the Rage catalogue.
