Hi, I wa actually wondering about different versions of No More Color; especially these ones: the first with the "mirror" version of the cd (with Coroner logo on the top and the tracks on), a second one with a black background and the saw in "mirror" (letting the middle of the disc transparent with some black prints on, continuation of the drawing), and mine (made in Germany, ℗ Noise intl. 1989, © Dark Wings 1989) where the cd is very near of the last one, black with the saw, but this time the saw is silver (no "mirror" at all) with the center printed full and the black going until the extreme side of the disc, no transparent around or almost. I think i never saw actually another like mine and even i just see 1989 on my edition, after some research it seems to looks like the 1993 version (i have Rough Trade Records on the back, i know they did the distribution of the 93 version...). Does anyone can give me the difference between each (i think it's just because Noise USA or Germany, but anyway i would be interested by these informations if someone can let me know) and help me to know if the one i have is 1993 repress or just a different first edition? Regards, Gael

I can't tell you the differences, but here's mine: it's a 1989 copy, hopefully other members can put up photos of the other versions of the CD and then we can see

Thanx, the version you have is the first i talked about, so it's the first press from Noise USA. I will take some pics of mine (disc and back cover) to show it.

Thanks for sharing, that's awesome-looking!!
I think it's just the usual 'some designs are different overseas' deal that happens a bit with entertainment, like with a lot of video games we or you don't get from various countries...
(Mine's the exact same as Sirius', hence no pic from me)

Sirius13: You have an Noise-US press. My German press from 1989 looks like yours, just the US-logo and US-address are different. Thrashos: You seem to have a re-release. The logo seems "new". Noise haven't used this type of logo in their old days. My copy here (please ignore the red point. That's a mark from the shop and I don't dare to remove it):

My copy here (please ignore the red point. That's a mark from the shop and I don't dare to remove it): By "mark", you mean a sticker, right? I think it'll be ok to move, or just try to peel it off a TINY bit; if some of the print seems to be coming off from the cd, then yeah, leave it on. If it doesn't, I'd just get some Goo Gone (or something equivalent to that if they don't sell it in your area of the world) to get rid of the sticker residue.

Thanx, so we have now all the versions i talked about. Do you know if yours is an original from 1989? The logo Noise is the same than mine, so it would help to know if they was really not using this one in early years.

Wow, Sithean, looking at all the posts in that Collector's forum. You're one hell of a collector! So many bootlegs / versions I have never heard of. Keep up the good work!

I do have rather a lot of rare Coroner but I don't ( unfortunately!) own everything on that list (yet!)
The idea was to post up every single different version we could find to keep track of what is out there, both to make the most complete discography possible to know what to hunt down (hence wishlist), and also to help differentiate the really rare stuff from fakes etc. Many of the pics are from ebay listings, and now so many listings say '1st press' or 'original press' when they are not, and sometimes the differences between pressings are very small indeed. So by having pics of as many as possible of them up there for people to compare it becomes easier for everyone who collects them to know exactly what they are really being offered and judge the value accordingly. And also with stuff like the Death Cult demo- people are selling fakes that are easy to spot but only if you know what the genuine one is like, else you aren't going to know it is a fake until too late, so highlighting this might help stop fans getting scammed.
It is an ongoing project and there are a lot of releases I know still need pics/info especially all the different cassette releases for Punishment/No More Color/Mental Vortex/Grin etc etc so if you, or anyone here wants to add better scans and more releases that would be great, and help to make it more useful for all fans of the bands on there. Hopefully in the future we can add many more bands too!
It was kinda inspired by this forum but we sort of wanted it to be just for posting nothing but releases and wants/selling rather than for more usual forum stuff like comments and discussion, so that it complements this and other fan sites and doesn't compete with them
