I've been looking it up for you, but it's nowhere to be found. I'm using: - Fender, tube screamer. (The old version ) - Boss, heavy metal2. - Boss, RCL-10 (Compressor/limiter/gate)
This all into a LAB-series 100 amp. with a Peavy speaker cabinet. There's a new line of amps a piratically like: Line6, Spider III. A lot of amp for low prices.
When you put this up, allow yourself to use as less distortion as possible and a lot of bass. Mids up to +6 Treble up to +4.
ROCK ON !!! Thumbs up.

I think that was just natural amp distortion. The amp brand is mentioned in the liner notes, which I no longer have.

Yeah, Steavens Amplification is credited on Grin and Vortex.

I remember reading a review of the 'Coroner' album, which said something like on the newest tracks that Tommy's tone was what a metal guitar should sound like; thick and tasty. I have to agree that their newest material, from Grin and Coroner, had a yummy sound ;-)

I don't know what he used in those days, but here's their website: www.steavens.com/Actually, I recall that he was using a separate pre-amp and power amp. Those are listed on the Discontinued page.

He used a Marshall of the JCM-Series modified by Steavens and on the other side a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier on GRIN
