We've been waiting for 10 years for something to happen.
I guess we can hang for a little longer!

hey Carole, take care there, the health is the most imnportantant thing, take your time to cure, like said above me - we've been waiting for ten long years, hell yeah you did a hell of job to make us feel great last one, but wherever you need a rest or to take care of personal issues take all the time you need, we know you'll never let us down
take care and be healthy!

Witchfynde, regarding the following question: 3. What exactly was the "Masked Jackal" based on, was it a real person/event that happened? (A friend of mine spent a good 20 minutes going through overseas information on the phone once, trying to track down one of the newspapers from the video to see if he could find out...heh)
I strongly suspect that these lyrics are based on "Dead zone" by Stephen King, lots of similarities, but if Marky could confirm, that'd be great!!

It's an interesting accessment (can't say *I* ever thought of the above myself!), but who knows, Coroner could be a bit cryptic at times with their lyrics (especially on Grin, I have little clue as to what most of the songs were about on there!), hopefully we'll eventually get the interview and get that one answered specifically (but ANYTHING would be good though!)!

Watch the movie or read the book, the idea crossed my mind years ago and I'm now convinced this is what the song is about. But I'm sure we'll have that confirmed soon. Any idea/opinion,anyone??

No mate,Carlos the Jackal was a terrorist. The song refers to a politician(well,I suppose sometimes it's the same thing....!!). Think about the lyrics.... "I saw his face on every channels, his slogans in all the papers I heard people repeat his words, shouting, his flag in their hands I saw him making promises......" It's about a rotten politician running for president or senator,or whatever. I'm convinced it's based on Stephen King's "Dead Zone",the only one who knows the truth is the guy who can see the future after his weird accident, and he's the only one who can get in the way of that politician("But I saw his fingers too, they were crossed behind his back"). It has to be....too many similarities!!Even in the video clip, with the politician, the tunnel,etc....

Yeah it seemed to me to be about a politician or well-known religious figure...

A decade ago, I got a 4-track tape during tapetrading stating: Coroner (SWI) - Live Demo #1 '83 Damned Fool/Hey Rock'n Roller/Hell Machine/??// I always thought this is fake because it features more Heavy/Rock music, but in some 2008 Celtic Frost/Hellhammer interviews with Tom or Martin, I saw two times now the remark "an earlier version of Coroner" or "earlier incarnation of Coroner". www.voicesfromthedarkside.de/interviews/hellhammer.htm"Hellhammer was a four piece in the end! We had at the last minute added a second guitarist named Vince Caretti aka Dei Infernal. Although we first wanted to bestow that title on Oliver Amberg who at that time played in an earlier incarnation of Coroner, but Oli did not really go for it. Luckily so, since Oli later joined Tom on "Cold Lake" where he performed not so well (at least to my ears!). By the way Vince did not really do that much good either, since he just failed to show up to rehearsals." Interview questions: * Is this the same band Coroner ? * Who was in that earlier band (as far as I read, it was at least Oliver Amberg) ? * Did they release more stuff ? * How is it viewed upon from the Coroner-members of today ?

Two questions for Marky then 1. Whats the origin of Grin's cover? Its bloody awesome 2. Been talks of a Coroner tribute alum recently, what would Mr. Edlemann think to such an idea and if it were to come to fruition, are there any tracks in particular he'd like to see on such a thing??

Hello all ! Just one question to Marky, do you still have some Farewell or other Tour video? if yes, could you send it (if you can, of course) to the Carole's Website. A lot of thank for everything you did for music. Friendly, Jericho.
