With the constant activity on this board, it's clear to me that after all these years there is still much interest in Coroner's music, and a desire from fans for something more from the band we love. I think there is a massive gap in the available recorded history of a great band.
I believe that it may be desirable/necessary for us to collectively address the band and to ask for them to work on releasing some archive material such as live footage and music for us to enjoy.
Therefore I move that we create a petition or better still a database of letters to the band asking (or begging if so moved) to release such material. I think that such an action may prove to be our only chance to motivate Marky, Tommy and Ron to get off their butts and give us what we want (and maybe line their deserving pockets a little also).
Perhaps we could also lobby some labels to buy the publishing rights to their released material and re-release it along with some new/archival product?
What do you think Carole?

Perhaps we could also lobby some labels to buy the publishing rights to their released material and re-release it along with some new/archival product? The Coroner catalog has already been re-released (not counting Grin, it seems), with not-so-great results, like somewhat blurry cd booklet photos and no remixing that's desperately needed (first two cds). Marky had also hinted that something was going to be coming out, but Coroner has been known to be slow over the years (repeated requests for an interview for Metal Maniacs went unfullfilled in one instance that I can recall) even when they *were* coming out with stuff. I think that such an action may prove to be our only chance to motivate Marky, Tommy and Ron to get off their butts and give us what we want (and maybe line their deserving pockets a little also). What we want and what they're going to do are two totally different things. Marky has already said they aren't going to get back together (maybe in another 10 years? )

I don't expect them to ever do a reunion, they've been pretty clear about how they feel about that issue.
But I would definately love to see all the available material of them when they were together released or re-released. A live dvd would be excellent (especially from their last tour).

Seems like a good idea to me.
Somebody can concretize, formalize and materialize this as an online petition page?
If something happens, great. If anything happens, well at least we have tried and took the oportunity to showed our respect to the band.

Language should be no problem, I think we could add comments in our native language. I'm sure they would understand.

We all know they aren't getting back together, period. I think we can all respect that decision.
What I am aiming to do is to motivate them to release some live material for our enjoyment. Anything else would be a bonus.

I'd be more than happy to take part, I'd just like 'em to hear how totally respected they were (and still are). Any other result is a bonus.

I'm here w/ you man i totally understand where your coming from.
Paying respect to Coroner is like paying respect to Led Zep or Pink Floyd. As awsome of a band they once were they are most likely NOT going to be getting back together or releasing any other material, we pretty much have everything i assume. Lets appreciate what they did and wish them the best in their lives in the future

Yeah, the cogs move slow. As you can see I am trying to provoke some direct action, but NOONE SEEMS TO GIVE A TOSS I understand your frustration but the problem seems to be that not enough people give a toss, not that no-one gives a toss. If Coroner were a more popular band then we'd have every bootlegged piece of audio and video released without a doubt, because profit would be guaranteed. Unfortunately this isn't the case with Coroner. Even if a petition was started, how many people will end up signing it? Not enough judging by the traffic on this board.
