Coroner is one of my all time bands, but they should have toured the U.S. more often.

I saw Coroner Sunday, November 10, 1991 opening for Nuclear Assault. I went specifically to see Coroner (didn't like NA). My friend John had played Mental Vortex for me once and I was hooked. I still believe that is their best CD all around - I just wish it were longer! Anyway, I got my CD sleeve signed by Marky and chatted with Ron and Tommy after their show outside while NA was on stage. I lost my pen so I couldn't get their autographs!

Back to the set list in 1996....they started with "Status....still thinking",I'm absolutely sure. Then I think came "Divine Step",then in no particular order: Grin,Semtex Revolution,Purple Haze,Metamorphosis,Der Mussolini,Internal conflicts,The Lethargic Age,Reborn through hate.I can't remember the rest,it was a long time ago!! But it was an amazing gig, with Sup as support band,Soar didn't play but Anorexia Nervosa did instead. I ended up backstage after the gig,got all my albums signed. This is when I bought a copy of the Unreleased tracks and a Coroner balaclava!! Memories,memories....

Hello all. I just found this glorious site today. I had Marky on my mind after coming across the show flyer and a book he sent me when he got home from what appeared to be a gruelling tour. I've been through major moves since my writing/publishing days, and hopefully I will come across my interview tape and the articles I wrote on Coroner. I'm pretty sure I had a photographer with me, and tracking down live show photos is a possibility. I'm going to try to insert a pic of the show flyer and the book, but if it doesn't work here's the poop: May 17, 1990 at the Aztlan Theatre in Denver, Colorado USA. Coroner headlined, with Atrophy (Arizona USA), Forced Entry (Washington USA) and Sinister Creed (Colorado Springs, Colorado USA). I talked with a sleep-deprived Marky on the tourbus before the show. It was a much-needed serendipty for both of us. The book he sent me is called "Froth on the Daydream" by Boris Vian. I clearly recall reading it while riding out a brutal monsoon in a beachfront hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Ironically (metaphysically?), the surrealistic storyline paralled my experience at the time. Hailed "The greatest love novel of our time," a new wife falls ill and eventually fades away. I too was a new "wife," a reluctant bride on the honeymoon of a short-lived marriage. I became miserably ill with Monteczuma's Revenge, fading away in surreallistic synch with Vian's Chloe. "After a very short time," Vian writes, "Chloes' body had completely disappeared."

Ugh, you got to see them with Forced Entry! A show *I* always wanted to see! You suck! (No, course you don't ) In order to post photos, first you have to have a photo account of some sort, like Photobucket. So sign up with a site like that first if you don't have one already. Then you can click on the photo link in the toolbar for a new message and add the link to any photos you've got in your account.

Might want to add: Coroner also played at the 9:30 Club in DC in late 91 with Nuclear Assault. I do not remember the exact date but I remember the show vividly. They got robbed on sound by the NA sound man and played the first 2 minutes of Divine Step with a stage mix. When NA came out Dan Lilker bad mouthed them and got seriously booed. He was jealous. Ron seriously destroyed his facsimile of playing. I also remember breaking a guys nose in the pit during Read my Scars. This was the second time I saw them in DC. Saw the at the Safari Club with FORCED ENTRY. Yes, FORCED ENTRY. Killer show.
