So what do you think of Violent Revolution. I mean it would have been better to see Tommy there, ain't it?
I loved what he did with Mille and and I think that Kreator' 97 was an excellent blend of what we call Coroner's sound and Kreator's one..
So express your opinion....

So what do you think of Violent Revolution. I mean it would have been better to see Tommy there, ain't it? I've never been a big Kreator fan and haven't heard their latest album. I did buy the album where Tommy played though, but I didn't think he had much of an influence on it, unfortunately... IMO, Tommy is not meant to play someone else's music -- he has to be let lose and play HIS music (along with the influence of, say... Marky and Ron maybe? )

Personally,I thought both Outcast and Endorama were good, solid albums BUT.....damned frustrating also because you know that Tommy was just cruising in second gear in regards to his playing.I guess I was greedy for more of his awesome solos ;D

Frankly, it's their best CD in years (if you prefer their old style!). I was horribly disappointed in the two he recorded with them. Perhaps it was just a phase for them and not any undo influence from him. Don't get me wrong...he is one of my favorite guitarists and Coroner is one of my favorite bands! When I heard he joined them, I assumed the combo would be killer...wrong!! Apparently, Tommy no longer wishes to play brutal music. Sad, sad, sad.

Violent Revolution is pretty cool! 8) hmm..I dont know. I think Tommy is at his best when he writes/plays his own music. I think Kreator + Tommy was a pretty cool combo. ...but if Tommy was a member of Kreator and didn't want to be then he would be unhappy and it would be reflected in his playing.

I think that Tommy didn't do anything on the 1st album where he joined, something that you could say are merely fills. He wanted to get paid and that is just what his function in Kreator was. He did some uninspiring stuff, like someone mentioned, really going in 2ng gear, but he's not blamed alltogether for it - Mille seems to be the owner of Kreator and it's his way or the highway. Just like what happened to Frank Godszik (Blackfire) who was also quite good guitar player in Sodom and suddenly went to shit in Kreator. I hear that Tommy tried to push more for the atmospheric sound on the 2nd album he was on (Endorama) and in a wya he got blamed for fucking up Kreator's sound while all along Mille was shooting for a more "approachable" sound so he can bring the ship back to the top. Just like Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman - Marty got fired and blamed for Megadeth's fuckup disco album.<br>"Violent Revolution" kicks ass, though and Kreator is back at doing what they do best - solid balls to the wall thrash!

I think that guitar duo Petrozza/Vetterli didn`t work the way everyone expected. I think that both albums, Outcast and Endorama, are not so bad, but they just haven`t reached the level of previous Kreator/Coroner albums. Mille is Kreator`s major songwriter, so it is clear that Tommy had not so many opportunities to show his talent. I saw Kreator on Violent revolution tour (along with Destruction) and it was awesome.

well...I do think Tommy participated in writing of the Outcast & Endorama albums. When I first heard Outcast the Coroner sound influence was inded evident to me.

I read interview with Mille shortly after Outcast came out and he told there that Tommy participated only on couple of riffs. Also all the credits in CD booklet go to Petrozza. Booklet to Endorama says Tommy had co-written 7 out of 12 songs on that album. Btw does anyone of you guys out there know why Tommy left the band?

Btw does anyone of you guys out there know why Tommy left the band? 50% -> 2 leaders in one band...but Mille is kreator... 50% -> Tommy has his own studio and he gives a lot of guitar lessons - so as Mille said - he couldn't fully give him to the band... That's it...

It would be very interesting to ask Tommy about his days with the kreators. Anyway, is there something new about interview, or webmaster gave up?

It is so sad that Tommy lost the interest about interview. He showed a lack of respect for fans. I`m sure the way of saying no is much more acceptable than not answering e-mails at all. Maybe one day he will realize that.
